Job Description:
BlackRock’s US Wealth Advisory (“USWA”) business manages the firm’s relationships with US retail investors and financial advisors. Representing a full suite of strategies from Model Portfolios, iShares ETFs, and mutual funds to Alternatives, SMAs, and sub-advisory relationships. USWAs mandate is to deliver One BlackRock to retail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Thorough and comprehensive profiling to quickly and deeply understand clients needs
- Advisor education on BlackRock’s robust digital platform providing them on demand access to a wealth of resources
- Build and develop a client base of Advisors
- Sales opportunity identification and execution
- Build an efficient and thoughtful strategy to maximize engagement and influence
- Embrace the firm’s commitment to the client experience and exceed client contact expectations
- Embrace technology, data-driven targeted sales leads and the BlackRock selling system to execute virtual client engagements
- Uncover client needs and deploy the appropriate products, solutions or resources
- Demonstrate mastery of BlackRock’s products, solutions, thought leadership and digital platform
- Identify and develop relationships with the largest and fastest growing advisors
Job Requirements:
- Strong financial services background with knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices
- Strong sales, partnership, and organizational skills, including profiling and resource deployment
- Mastery of virtual engagement technology including Webex and Zoom
- NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) required, willingness to obtain within first few months of employment if candidate does not hold both
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- CFP, CIMA or CFA preferred
- Minimum 3+ years in asset management sales
