Job Description:
As a Barclays Data & Dashboards Developer you will be working with the team to develop online Compliance dashboards in Tableau (and/or equivalent visualisation tools) by liaising with SMEs/stakeholders to review big data and data analytics. Dashboards will be used as interactive management information tools for the Compliance Management Team and senior Barclay’s executives. You will gain an understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements of the banking industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing, and developing dashboards in Tableau
- Providing Tableau user support and training where necessary on an ad hoc basis
- Linking and aggregating standalone dashboards to promote greater interactivity through online and interactive MI reports
- Gaining awareness of risks involved with reporting to senior managers and accessing sensitive Information
- Reviewing and challenging understanding of Compliance and hierarchical data
- Gaining awareness of the data structures and tools available throughout the bank and how they can be leveraged to avoid reinventing
- Building an understanding of the reporting needs of the function
- Working with technology platforms; employ controls around data and exception handling
Job Requirements:
- A self-starter with a technology background and developer skill set and mind-set willing to learn
- Actively improves technical knowledge through self-learning and formal training
- Educated to degree level or equivalent preferable
- Experience in Compliance, Audit or other relevant functions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in an agile way with business colleagues who are less technically minded
- Possess a very good /advanced understanding of developing dashboards in Tableau with supporting statistical and maths knowledge
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders to clarify and understand requirements
- Experience with big data projects and data analytics
