Job Description:
As a Barclays Senior UX/UI Designer, you will form part of an integrated and innovative in-house Experience Design team, working to help transform the second oldest brand in the UK and to create award-winning experiences for our customers. Our team boasts experience from a range of industries including broadcast, telecoms, ecommerce, tech, start-ups and a wealth of creative agencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating and reviewing design specifications for developers (across app and web platforms)
- Adhering to human centered design practices
- Managing stakeholder’s expectations and priorities
- Proactively collaborating with colleagues across the business and joining the dots where needed
- You will lead projects, taking responsibility for communication and planning design activities
- You’ll act as a champion of trialing new and relevant design methodologies and practices and promoting this across the business
- Delivering consistent, excellent, customer-focused design solutions
- Keeping abreast of best practices in design led thinking and applying those as a leader both internally and externally
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience leading designers, developers, stakeholders or clients
- Previous experience of acting on making design decisions based on a range of data and insight
- Experience of designing user centered experiences, with a solid digital portfolio showing examples of your work and processes
- Experience creating and contributing to digital design libraries, pattern libraries or something similar
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical digital concepts, and present them as simple design solutions
- Experience managing stakeholders and timelines/ priority lists
- Proven experience of working with UX and/ or service design principles and brand guidelines
