Job Description:
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Active participation to safety initiatives
- Keep environmental impact within statutory requirements to ensure compliance to statutory requirements is met.
- Adherence to safety standards
- Providing assistance in all operational related matters and ad hoc jobs to all concerned parties in a pro-active manner aligned with best practices and within agreed upon timeframes
- Providing assistance in document write up and document control specifically related to Job Risk assessments, Training Manuel’s, Standards and Procedures
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Metallurgy
- Code 08 Drivers Licence
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel.
- Typing skills advantages
Qualification & Experience:
- 1-2 years Plant experience
- Training experience highly recommended
