JPL’s Reliability Engineering and Mission Environmental Assurance Office ensures the reliability of flight system hardware and evaluates the mission environment to ensure reliable operation in the harsh conditions a spacecraft may encounter over the mission lifetime.

The Reliability Engineering and Mission Environmental Assurance Office Business Administration team is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic business professional for the position of Staff Assistant II. Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare facility support requests (FSRs) as required for office modifications.
- Manage busy calendars; schedule and maintain meetings and appointments, set up web-ex conferencing calls, and assist technical group members in balancing their calendars and meeting commitments.
- Submit and track P-Card and iProcurement orders for technical labs and group members.
- Set up and coordinate interviews for JPL and contractor candidates including preparing and submitting Access Management requests and preparing interview schedules.
- Prepare and submit travel reservations (domestic, foreign, conference) and expense reports including maintaining conference forecasting status for technical groups.
- Coordinate and compile data and information for technical presentations, all-hands meetings, quarterly reviews, tactical operations plans and other team-building activities.
- Serve as a Alfresco librarian for data repository.
- Coordinate special events, professional development workshops, conferences, all-hands meetings, and other ad hoc activities.
- Participate in the Business Team efforts in improving processes and implementing best business practices.
- Provide administrative staff assistance to technical staff.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to team effectively and efficiently with all levels of personnel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of JPL business policies, procedures, practices.
- Knowledge of JPL Business Systems including Concur, P-Card, Work Authorization Tool (WAT), Property Manager Gateway (PMG), Data Extractor.
- Typically requires a High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of related experience;
- Associates degree with a minimum of 1 year related experience.
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative to perform activities and resolve non-standard or unusual problems.
- Experience in solving IT issues associated with presentations.
- Excellent customer service and teaming skills.
